2002 to PRESENT

As from August 2002 Coralie Carr was appointed Musical Director.  Coralie studied music from the age of 7 and became an accomplished pianist, singer and Tenor Horn player.  She was a member of Gosford Choral Society and Gosford Musical Society before joining Tuggerah Lakes Circuit Choir.  Coralie is a long standing member and the societies accompanist since 1975.  She became a life member in 1998.  Her profession is a music teacher.  She is a marvellous sight reader.  Her name is known to many people here on the Central coast as she has been accompanist for Gosford Musical Society and Wyong Musical Theatre Company and plays for Lake Singers and the Harmonies.  For many years she has been playing in Tuggerah Lakes District Brass Band now Tuggerah Lakes Show Band.

"Christmas Favourites" was Coralie's first conducting performance which was performed at a variety of venues.  The society performed "I Heard the Bells" for Xmas 2003 with soloists, Janet Wood and Terry Kinsella.  " The Miracle" was performed in March/April 2004.  A cantata by Paul Mickelsen depicting the Life of Christ, highlighting the Easter Story.  It was narrated by Harry Davison with soloists, Alan Houghton, Jean Hanlon, Betty Snowdon, Ray Hanlon and Ken Fellowes.  In September 2004 and September 2005 we combined with Newcastle City Choir for performances at Morriset Baptist Church.    August 13th 2006 the Society performed a Mid Year Variety Concert at Glengarra Retirement Village and for Christmas 2006, Maunder's cantata "Bethlehem" was performed.

Once again TLCS performed "The Last Week" at Easter 2007 including a PowerPoint presentation and for Christmas 2007 we presented "Joy to the World".  In 2009, TLCS moved rehearsal venues to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church hall at The Entrance.  Easter 2009 showed off the talents of our members in a program of sacred music that included the "Battle Hymn of the Republic".

A Christmas for all Time was performed in December 2009.  It was narrated by Harry Davison and was popular with the audience because they knew most of the tunes.

Since 2001, TLCS has not had a major public performance.  Our "Memorable Musical Melodies" concert mid 2011 was a great success at Toukley Senior Citizen's Hall.  The audience was amazed at our talents, so this has encourage us to have another variety concert next year at this venue.
